This paper deals with good death/sole life and examines three things. First, the author focuses on "Guideline concerning terminal care in emergency medicine" which is published by Japanese Association for Acute Medicine and illustrates some incomprehensible parts. Second, the author poses a question of why many discussions skip the facts to be delivered and move to application and education, as the author spoke at the Annual Meeting of The Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine. Third, the author briefly introduces his three books of Immovable Body and Breathing Machine(2004), Good Death (2008) and Sole Life(2009).
