South Africa intensively encompasses countries where people have the shortest life expectancy in the world. For example, the average length of life is 34 years in Zimbabwe, 35 years in Swaziland, and 36 years in Botswana... Behind such unbelievable figures exists the HIV/AIDS problem.
Currently, the anti-retrovirus (ARV) treatment has been rapidly spreading in these countries.
What made the “dreams” of the poor countries realistic?
What made the ARV treatment started during such a short period at the beginning of the 21 century?
This book traces movements by people with HIV that have caused historical changes and extracts issues in order to make more advanced AIDS treatments realistic.
