■Event Overview

"Korea Japan Disability Studies Forum" has been held based on the research collraboration made between the Disability Studies Forum in Korea (former name: Association for Research on Disability Studies) and the Research Center for Ars Vivendi since academic year 2009. The first forum was held in Seoul in academic year 2010, and the second one was held at Ritsumeikan University in academic year 2011, the third one was held in Seoul in academic year 2012, and the fourth one was held at Ritsumeikan University in academic year 2013.

The fifth forum, whose main theme is "disability and treatment," is held in Seoul in November. The forum includes three presentations concerning "disabled people's movements in China" and three oral presentations and 17 poster presentations from the Japanese side.
