■Event Overview
For the fourth seminar, we invite Ms. KUBOTA Nozomi, a translator. She has been widely invloved in introduction of modern literature of the English-speaking world, from chicana/o literature to Adichie's Half of a Yellow Sun. Moreover, her translation works of Coetzee, a Nobel Prize winner, of Life & Times of Michael K and Age of Iron, are regarded as excellent. She will talk on her story of how she has approached African literature, and appeal and whereabouts of modern African literature, which is to play a part of "the world literature".
