■East Asia Disability Studies Forum 2019 Successfully Organized in China
East Asia Disability Studies Forum 2019, focusing on inclusion in society, was successfully organized on 12 and 13 October 2019, in Wuhan, China,
The Forum, organized in parallel to the Workshop on Disability Research and Social Inclusion, was hosted by Wuhan East-Lake Institute for Social Advancement, Institute of Social Inclusion of Wuhan University, Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, and was co-organized by the Institute of Ars Vivendi of Ritsumeikan University.
The panels included the following themes in the context of inclusive society, (1) rule of law, (2) education, (3) employment, (4) mental and intellectual disabilities, (5) gender and sexuality, and (6) ageing with disability, The closing roundtable was entitled “East Asia Perspective(s) on Disability and Inclusion?”.

East Asia Disability Studies Forum met in Taipei last year and will meet again in Kyoto next year.
