Thank You For Your Messages of Solidarity: Attack in Sagamihara, Japan

We say “thank you and arigato gozaimasu” to each and every one of you who immediately responded to our urgent plea for your messages of solidarity!

88 powerful and thoughtful international messages, some in Japanese, were received from the following 27 countries and territories, Australia, Canada, China, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Kenya, Malta, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Poland, South Africa, South Korea, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Romania, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, and Zimbabwe. Messages were received from Inclusion Europe and International Disability Alliance as well.

The memorial meeting for the victims and all those who are suffering from the horrible attack at the Tsukui Yamayuri En, Sagamihara City, met at the University of Tokyo on 6 August 2016 and was attended by more than 200 people from different parts of the country. The meeting was also connected by SKYPE with three different locations in Japan. The meeting was reported widely.

In addition to more than 450 national messages, all of your messages were displayed and shared at the meeting. We managed to put some of them into Japanese. Prof. Nagase from our Research Center for Ars Vivendi, who was one of the organizers of the meeting, read some of your messages and showed some of your faces.

We have uploaded all of your messages to our site, with the heading of
“International Messages to Memorial Meeting for the Victims of the Attack at Tsukui Yamayuri En, Sagamihara, Japan” at the following,

We have a long way to go to know what really happened, why it happened and what we can learn from it, to make sure that it will never happen again. It is our humble wish to contribute to the process. We count on your support along the way.

At this time, we sincerely appreciate your kind gesture.
