We, Global COE Program Ars Vivendi, would like to deliver you the
new year's greeting by Prof. Shin'ya Tateiwa, our program leader.

Happy New Year to all of our readers!

The Global COE Program, which has been sponsored by the Ministry of
Education, Culture, Science, and Technology (MEXT) in Japan, ends
as of the end of this March. However, the Research Center of Ars
Vivendi of Ritsumeikan University will keep and develop its
activities after the Global COE Program ends with the support of
Ritsumeikan University and other available funds.

We launched the premiere issue of the Ars Vivendi Journal as
electronic journal. We are planning to publish the second issue
next month. It will take time for the Journal to enter a stable
orbit, and we have limited authors to persons involved in our
center so far, but we will try to make it more open in the future.

We hope you enjoy reading our e-mail magazines from now on, too.

Sincerely yours,

Shin'ya Tateiwa

well as domestic and international researchers.
