We, Global COE Program Ars Vivendi, would like to let you know the
following four news.

1) We have made an English-version page of Extraterritorial:

2) We held the special lecture series by Professor Colin Barnes from
September 21 to 24.

Professor Tateiwa, our program leader, prepared some writings in English in
order to introduce disability movements/disability studies in Japan.

3) "'Good Manner of Dying' as a Normative Concept: 'Autocide,'
'Granny Dumping' and Discussions on Euthanasia/Death with Dignity
in Japan", which is written by Professor Izumi Otani, will appear on the next
issue of the International Journal of Japanese Sociology.
We will let you know its details in the near future.

4) We held a public symposium "Ars Vivendi X Medical Philosophy
X Bioethics: Visions and Challenges of Theories on Euthanasia" on
October 2.
