Abstract:
In this paper we deal with "Formation of Researchers on the Basis of Research Projects", a program of the Graduate School of Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences, which was sponsored by Initiatives for Attractive Education in Graduate Schools in fiscal 2005 and 2006.

First, we describe the characteristics of our projects and curriculum and explain the process of how they led to our proposed program.

Next, we describe the content of the following five objectives of the program: reinforcement of basic writing abilities, reinforcement of support courses, reinforcement of collaborative practices in international symposiums and research projects, development of the project management framework and expansion and development of human networks. Then, we describe what measures we actually took to meet the demands of the objectives in fiscal 2005 and 2006.

Finally, we describe the challenges of this program and possible future directions.
